Normally, Ubisoft announces multideaths months in advance, but the Clancy team appeared to announce shutdowns after they had already occurred. Rainbow Six Vegas and Vegas 2, Rainbow Six: Lockdown, and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier were all axed earlier this month. “It allows our IT and service staff to better focus on delivering great online experiences to the vast majority of customers who are playing newer, more popular titles,” Ubisoft explained, explaining why older games’ online services are routinely shut down. ![]() Ubisoft has finally revealed what went wrong with Vegas 2, but they’re unable to support workarounds that would allow people to continue playing. For starters, it’s still a fantastic game! Two, because the game has been unplayable since December, many players assumed Ubisoft had already shut down its servers. It was unexpected for two reasons when Ubisoft announced this month that online services for Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (and a few other tactical shooters) would be shut down. ![]()
